RipCast 1.9 is an application that allows you to connect to Shoutcast compatible broadcasters and record the streaming audio to MP3 files in your hard drive with good quality.
Its interface is easy to use and has the aspect of a browser with four tabs:
1. Ripcast Home: here you will find some info about the program and getting started help for beginners
2. Station Browser: a tool that will help you find radio stations with different genres and bitrates to choose. You will also find some controls like play, pause, record, enqueue in Winamp
3. Current Downloads: in this tab you will find a download history and the current streams being recorded by Ripcast. Here you can pause, stop or resume ripping process.
4. My Music: where all your downloads can be found organized by song in folders for each channel.
I enjoyed this tool, it could be really useful for those who enjoy recording music. If you want to test this software, you can download a free limited trial of RipCast 1.9 or the old version (RipCast 1.3) for free at the developers site.
